Exclusive: GKFX rebrands as Trive, hires eToro alum Dennis Austinat as MD DACH Region
FNG Exclusive… FNG has learned that Trive has hired longtime eToro Head of Germany, Switzerland and Austria, Dennis Austinat as the company’s new Managing Director for Germany and the overall DACH region. Mr. Austinat will support the expansion of Trive’s business in this region from Frankfurt.
FNG exclusively reported back in October that Turkey based Global Kapital Group underwent a restructuring, which included the transfer of ownership of its retail (GKFX) and institutional (GKPro) brokerage arms to Amsterdam based Trive, in which Global Kapital controlling shareholder Kasim Garipoğlu has an interest.
As we reported then GKFX has since been rebranded as Trive, with visitors to gkfx.com or gkfx.eu now rerouted to trive.com. The company’s FCA licensed B2B institutional arm, GKPro, has been renamed TrivePro, with its website url now changed to trivepro.co.uk, and the UK corporate entity renamed Trive Financial Services UK Limited.
We had also exclusively reported in November that Dennis Austinat had resigned from eToro, soon after eToro’s planned IPO failed.
The move is part of Trive’s expansion plan, which has seen the brokerage umbrella group open two new offices recently, in Frankfurt and in Madrid.
Engin Çubukçu, CEO and Chairman of Trive said:
“Trive is delighted to welcome Dennis. His extensive industry experience makes him a great addition to the team. The DACH region is an important market for Trive. Investors here are discerning and eager to increase the value of their investments. As an industry veteran, Dennis understands client needs and is able to advance investors and take their investments to new heights.”
Dennis Austinat, Trive’s Managing Director for the DACH region, added:
“I am very pleased to be with Trive. Having worked most of my career at innovative fintech companies, I am convinced that multi-asset is the future. Modern traders want a competent partner who meets all investment needs. Trive is the best choice. As a dynamic and progressive company, Trive represents the future of investment.”
“Culture is very important to me personally. This belief is a value I share with Trive. I am convinced that my experience with multicultural teams in different countries will be a great asset. I am very much looking forward to continuing our journey together with Trive.”
