Exclusive: Saxo Bank CFO Mette Ingeman Pedersen resigns
FNG Exclusive… FNG has learned that Mette Ingeman Pedersen has resigned as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Copenhagen based Retail FX and CFDs broker Saxo Bank, just a year into the job.
Mette Ingeman Pedersen joined Saxo in 2021 to succeed then-CFO Lars Kufall Beck, who left to join insurance and pensions provider TopDanmark. Prior to Saxo Mette was CFO in Nordea’s Nordic Personal Banking unit from 2017-2021. Prior to Nordea she worked as a Senior Manager in Deloitte leading the consultancy’s asset management services team in Denmark. Previously, she held the position as Head of Finance in Danske Bank’s Business Banking unit, where she worked in various positions for almost 10 years.
Mette Ingeman Pedersen’s departure comes at a curious time, just three weeks after Saxo Bank announced plans to go public via a merger with a SPAC and list its shares on Euronext Amsterdam. CFOs are typically front-and-center in the going-public process, and in post-IPO reporting and communication with shareholders as a newly-public company.
