Exclusive: Former SquaredFinancial CEO Youssef Barakat joins 4T
FNG Exclusive… FNG has learned that newly rebranded Retail FX and CFDs broker 4T Markets has hired experienced FX industry executive Youssef Barakat to its senior management team.
Youssef Barakat was a member of the senior management team at CySEC licensed SquaredFinancial for more than 10 years, from 2009-2021, first joining in a business development role when the company was known as ProbusFX. By the time ProbusFX rebranded to SquaredFinancial in 2018 Mr. Barakat was CEO, remaining in that role until leaving the company in 2021.
Youssef Barakat said to FNG about his move to 4T:
“I am thrilled to join 4T and look forward to leveraging my skills and experience to expand and grow the business to new heights, including expanding into Europe and Asia.”
“We plan to do this by leveraging our skills and experience in the industry. The specific goals mentioned are expanding our presence into Europe and Asia and improving our technology offerings, such as our trading app – 4T Trader. We are looking to increase the company’s reach and competitiveness by entering new and potentially more lucrative markets and offering cutting-edge technology to clients. Additionally, we are looking to expand to more regulated jurisdictions which can also be beneficial to the company. We are determined and confident in achieving these goals, and we will work hard to achieve them.”
As we exclusively reported last August, MT4/MT5 broker Formax Prime was rebranded as 4T Markets after being acquired in 2021 by UK based businessman Waqas Mahmood, via his holding company Regalis Trading Solutions Limited. The company operates an FCA licensed operation in London at website 4t.co.uk, and a sister offshore entity in Seychelles operating website 4t.com. 4T Markets offers trading on MT4 and MT5, and targets mainly an Arabic language market client base.
