Douglas Steenland steps down as Non-Exec Director of LSEG Board
London Stock Exchange Group plc (LSEG) today announced that Douglas Steenland has stepped down as Non-Executive Director of the Board of LSEG with immediate effect.
This follows the completion of the sale by BCP York Holdings (Delaware) L.P., York Holdings II Limited and York Holdings III Limited of shares in LSEG on 11 September 2023 and is in accordance with the terms of the Relationship Agreement between LSEG and entities owned by certain investment funds affiliated with Blackstone, an affiliate of Canada Pension Plan Investment Board, an affiliate of GIC Special Investments Pte. Ltd, and by Thomson Reuters, the former Refinitiv shareholders.

Mr Steenland is the former President (2001-2004) and Chief Executive Officer (2004-2008) of Northwest Airlines Corporation. Prior to this, he held a number of executive positions at the company including Executive Vice President, Chief Corporate Officer, Senior Vice President and General Counsel. Previously, he was a senior partner at Washington, D.C. law firm Verner, Liipfert, Bernhard, McPherson and Hand and worked in the Office of the General Counsel of the US Department of Transportation.
Douglas Steenland was Chairman of the Air Transport Association (2008- 2009), after serving as a Director (2005-2008).
