Andreas Gerber named new Head of Corporate Banking at Credit Suisse (Switzerland) Ltd
Credit Suisse today announced the appointment of Andreas Gerber, currently Head of SME Business Switzerland, as head of Corporate Banking at Credit Suisse (Switzerland) Ltd. as of January 1, 2021. He will thus also become a Member of the Executive Board of Credit Suisse (Switzerland) Ltd. and of the Management Committee of Swiss Universal Bank.
In his new role, Mr Gerber succeeds Didier Denat, the current Head of Corporate Banking, who has decided to pursue a new professional challenge.
Andreas Gerber has a career spanning more than 30 years at Credit Suisse. He has held various positions in corporate banking since he joined the bank in 1989. His roles include advising listed large corporates, managing the corporate banking business in Region Mittelland, and leading the corporate banking business in Region Zurich/Schaffhausen.
Andreas Gerber has served as Head of SME Business Switzerland since April 2015. He has also been Chairman of the Swiss Venture Club (SVC), the largest network of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Switzerland, since September 2017.
Andreas Gerber is a business economist and he completed the Executive Program at the Swiss Finance Institute (SFI) in Zurich and the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College in Hanover in the US.
