LSE welcomes Literacy Capital to Specialist Fund Segment of Main Market
London Stock Exchange today welcomes Literacy Capital plc to the Specialist Fund Segment of the Main Market under the ticker “BOOK” and with a market capitalisation of £96 million.
Literacy Capital was established in 2017 by Paul Pindar, Chairman, and Richard Pindar, CEO, to achieve long term capital growth through making investments in a diversified portfolio of private UK businesses.
Literacy Capital has invested in a portfolio of investments consisting of private, unquoted securities in companies spanning various sectors. With a focus on investment in under-served parts of the market, typically family-owned and founder-led businesses, Literacy Capital aims to help management teams to achieve long-term success.
Paul Pindar, Chairman, said:
“Literacy Capital is delighted to bring this compelling opportunity to market, providing investors access to a differentiated investment approach to private equity.
We believe we have a unique offering, an alternative way of working with founders and owners of small businesses that offers strong, long-term investment support with a social purpose at its centre. We invest in founder-led and founder-owned businesses that we can work closely with as engaged and active shareholders to offer guidance and encourage innovation in this under-served part of the market.”
