Cboe Canada to launch new connectivity service Dedicated Cores
Effective February 2, 2026, a new optional connectivity service known as Dedicated Cores will be implemented in the Cboe Canada production environment.
Upon the effective date, Dedicated Cores will be available as an optional service to Members utilizing the binary order entry (BOE) protocol. There will be no changes to the BOE order entry protocol for the introduction of Dedicated Cores.
Each Dedicated Core will only support a single BOE Order Entry Session. Therefore, when requesting a new BOE Order Entry Session, firms must request that it be hosted on a Dedicated Core, if applicable.
Members that choose to use one or more Dedicated Cores may also continue to utilize BOE Order Entry Sessions on shared CPU cores as done today. This will enable firms to operate across a mix of shared and dedicated CPU cores for additional risk and capacity management.
