ASX launches Austraclear Debt Market Activity product
ASX is expanding its debt market data product suite with the launch of Austraclear Debt Market Activity.
The data will provide increased transparency into repo, bond, and money market activity settled through ASX’s Austraclear system.
Austraclear is Australia’s leading settlement system and central securities depositary for the wholesale debt market, and currently services more than 1,000 participants and holds more than A$3 trillion worth of securities. It operates via a real-time link to the Reserve Bank of Australia’s Real-Time Gross Settlement (RTGS) system, settling on average more than A$80 billion in transactions per day.
The new data set is drawn directly and in real time from Austraclear’s source data, providing valuable and unique insights for issuers, investors and intermediaries into Australia’s debt market. These products are designed to provide these customers with flexibility, allowing subscribers to tailor access according to their requirements, whether for private, public, or both types of data.
Jamie Crank, Group Executive, Technology and Data, said:
“The launch of the Austraclear Debt Market Activity product marks a significant step forward in supporting our customers with unparalleled insights and data that helps in making informed, data-driven investment decisions. This is the first time the market has had access to datasets based on Austraclear’s source data for repo, bond, and money market activity”.
