Iress joins ASX Australian Liquidity Centre
Iress is joining the ASX Australian Liquidity Centre (ALC), the exchange-operated data centre that serves as the core connectivity hub for Australia’s financial markets ecosystem.
The ALC is a purpose-built Sydney facility operating at the heart of the market and hosts more than 100 financial institutions, including buy-side firms, sell-side firms, alternative liquidity venues, independent software vendors, and infrastructure and network providers.
Iress, a provider of trading, market data and financial technology solutions, has joined the ALC to co-locate its services alongside ASX’s core market infrastructure and a broad network of market participants, providing customers with streamlined access to Australia’s most connected financial markets environment.
Iress’ presence in the ALC will simplify and enhance connectivity options for its clients and the broader ALC community. This further reinforces how the ASX and ALC are helping simplify access to critical market services and infrastructure by bringing together a wide range of trading venues, technology providers and market participants.
Geoff Rogers, Iress CEO – Trading and Market Data, said:
“Joining the ASX ALC is an important step in strengthening the performance, resilience and proximity of our trading and market data platforms to support Australian financial markets participants. “This will deliver faster, more reliable access to market data and execution services, improving efficiency and supporting high-performance trading workflows. “Additionally, the ALC commitment future-proofs our infrastructure while advancing our strategy to invest in scalable, low-latency and cloud-ready facilities.”
Jamie Crank, ASX Group Executive – Technology and Data, said:
“The ALC provides connectivity services designed to support Australia’s financial markets. By bringing market participants together, it has created a secure, high-performance ecosystem that enables efficient collaboration through cross-connectivity between counterparties. “Iress’ decision to join the ALC reflects the value of operating within a deeply connected market ecosystem. As one of Australia’s leading financial technology providers, its presence further strengthens the network of organisations within the facility and enhances opportunities for connectivity and integration across the market. “The addition of Iress continues the evolution of the ALC as a central hub for Australia’s financial markets, helping participants benefit from closer access to the broader market community and core market infrastructure.”
Iress is expected to complete its move to the ASX ALC in the second half of 2027.
