eToro adds new features to platform
Online broker eToro has added a raft of new features to its platform over the past couple of weeks.
Earning Reports allow eToro clients to make timely investment decisions. This feature will make Earnings events more accessible. The eToro system will select ten events based on your trading and investing history as well as your interests which will appear on your homepage. Earnings reports will also be displayed as posts in the relevant asset’s news feed.
If you wish to see ALL Earnings Reports, click “view all” to visit the calendar web page. If you want to create a calendar notification for a specific earnings event, click on the event description and there, you’ll have the option to select which calendar you want to be notified on (eg. Google Calendar or Apple iCal).
In order to provide more insights and context on listed assets, eToro has added a “News” tab to its asset pages. This tab contains a news feed with articles specific to that asset from Tier 1 financial/business media publishers. The broker believes that having a quality contextual newsfeed as part of its asset screens will help you make better-informed investment decisions.
Initially, this service will only be available in English regardless of your account language. But in the near future, eToro aims to add the ability to support other default languages. You will be able to see the sentiment of articles, whether negative, neutral or positive along with a chart that aggregates the content sentiment over time, so you will be able to see a snapshot of the general news sentiment trend on an asset.
The News Tab feature is currently only available to users who hold funded accounts.
eToro is gradually rolling out a Personalized News Feed feature. In the coming weeks, some of eToro clients will be able to see posts categorized as “Most Relevant” or “Most Recent” categories on their news feed/homepage.
