Huobi unveils plans to launch Huobi Visa Card
Virtual asset exchange Huobi today announced plans to cooperate with Visa, a world leader in digital payment, to issue the Huobi Visa Card worldwide. This cooperation aims to bring a more efficient fiat-to-crypto gateway for its users and promote the development of the virtual asset industry.
The Huobi Visa Card will be made available in several European markets during the initial rollout, and is slated to be released in other regions shortly after.
“The launch of the Huobi Visa Card marks a significant milestone in Huobi’s push in making virtual assets accessible to everybody,” said Justin Sun, a member of Huobi’s Global Advisory Board. “Huobi and Visa are both prominent leaders in their respective industries. With the Huobi-branded card, we hope to contribute towards global financial inclusion.”
“Visa wants to serve as the bridge between the crypto ecosystem and our global network of merchants and financial institutions,” said Cuy Sheffield, Head of Crypto at Visa. “We’re excited to work with innovative platforms like Huobi to make it easy and seamless for consumers to spend from their crypto balances anywhere Visa is accepted.”
The Huobi Visa Card will be linked to the accounts of Huobi users. With this card, Huobi users can conveniently convert the virtual asset balance in their Huobi accounts to pay for goods and services at the 80 million merchant locations worldwide that accept Visa.
