Binance Agentic Wallet now supports the x402 payment protocol, so that agents get a standards-based way to pay for on-chain services, from data feeds to premium compute, without prepaid subscriptions, manual key management, or handing over custody.

x402 is an HTTP-native, on-chain payment protocol. Unlike traditional payments, it enables wallet-based, pay-per-use transactions with no account registration, card checkout, or pre-funded balances.

The x402 flow goes like this:

• The AI Agent (buyer) requests a paid resource, and the seller responds with an HTTP 402 status and its payment requirements.
• The Agent signs an off-chain authorization, then retries the request with proof of payment.
• The facilitator verifies that the payment meets the seller’s requirements, submits it to the blockchain, monitors for confirmation, and returns the settlement result to the seller. Critically, it never holds funds or acts as a custodian.

The x402 payment skill is available now via Binance Wallet Skills. After installation, your agent can directly handle x402 payment requests using Binance Agentic Wallet – no custom payment code required. With the x402 payment skill installed, users can simply ask their Agent to handle x402 payment requests through Binance Agentic Wallet. The skill manages the entire flow, from 402 parsing and user confirmation to signing, replay, and result handling.

Phase 1 of the x402 payment skill is now live on Binance Agentic Wallet, enabling the full x402 payment flow for buyers. Every payment follows a direct, non-custodial fund flow, moving straight from buyer to seller. The facilitator never holds funds; it only verifies signatures and executes settlement. Where supported, gas handling may be abstracted by the facilitator or settlement infrastructure.

The skill also leverages the existing Agentic Wallet risk controls that protect users, applying sanctions screening, transaction monitoring, and built-in transaction limits, so agent payments stay safe and compliant. The x402 facilitators operate as technical service providers (TSPs), kept separate from Binance Pay flows.
