IG Securities, the Japanese subsidiary of electronic trading major IG Group, today announced the resumption of vanilla options trading for owners of individual accounts.

Vanilla options trading in individual accounts had been temporarily suspended since May 21, 2026 due to a review of the margin calculation method. Now, that the review of the margin calculation method has now been completed, trading will resume as follows:

From August 18, 2026 (Tuesday), IG Japan will resume accepting new trades in individual accounts.

The resumption date for Commodity Vanilla Options will be announced separately.
