LME Group appoints Simon Parsons as CFO, MiRan Park as Chief Business Officer
The London Metal Exchange (LME) and LME Clear today announce the appointment of Simon Parsons as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of LME Group.
Simon Parsons succeeds Tabitha Silverwood who is leaving the Group after 12 years of service.
Mr Parsons joins from HSBC, where he spent 16 years in a range of senior finance leadership roles, most recently serving as Group Head of Financial Planning and Analysis. During his time at HSBC, he was CFO of the Global Liquidity and Cash Management business and later led the Transformation and Strategic Cost Management function. Simon Parsons holds a BSc in Mathematics from the University of Leeds.
Mr Parsons reports to the respective CEOs of the LME and LME Clear, Matthew Chamberlain and Michael Carty, and is a member of both the LME and LME Clear Executive Committees.
The LME also announced the appointment of MiRan Park as Chief Business Officer, a newly created role with responsibility for leading the Global Client Development, Relationship Management, Product Development and Research teams.
MiRan Park most recently served as Managing Director at S&P Global, where she led cross-divisional partnership strategy and ecosystem relationships. Prior to this she held senior business development roles at S&P Global (IHS Markit) for more than a decade, having joined Markit in 2003, a financial information and technology firm that subsequently merged with S&P in 2022. She holds a BA in Political Science from the University of Chicago.
MiRan Park reports to the LME CEO and is a member of the LME Executive Committee.
