Swissquote sees Revenues rise 7% to record CHF 338 million in 2H-2024
Switzerland based online trading and banking leader Swissquote (SWX:SQN) has issued a brief statement (see full text below) regarding its 2024 full year results, stating that the company saw “better than anticipated financial numbers” as it concluded the year.
Swissquote pointed out two factors for its good results – favourable market conditions, and crypto. Swissquote was fairly late to the crypto trading game, only recently launching full fractional crypto (and shares) CFDs trading, but it already seems to be bearing fruit on both its top and bottom line.
Digging into the (few) numbers released by Swissquote, it appears as though the company saw a 7% rise in Revenues during the second half of the year, with 2H-2024 Revenues at Swissquote coming in at a record CHF 338 million (USD $371 million), versus CHF 316.9 million in the first half of the year. For the full year, Swissquote brought in CHF 655 million ($719 million) in Revenue.
On the bottom line, Swissquote said that it earned Pre-Tax Profit of CHF 175 million in 2H-2024, up 3% from CHF 169.7 million in the first half of the year.
Swissquote shares reacted positively to the news, trading up by just over 1% on Friday morning. At CHF 359.40 per share, near an all-time high, Swissquote now has a market capitalization of CHF 5.5 billion (USD $6.1 billion).
Swissquote’s full 2024 financial report will be released on March 20.
The full release issued today by Swissquote reads as follows:
Swissquote concludes 2024 on a strong note
For 2024, Swissquote announces better than anticipated financial numbers:
- Net revenues amounted approximately to CHF 655 million.
- Pre-tax profit is expected at least at CHF 345 million.
- Client assets reached CHF 76 billion as of 31 December 2024.
- Net new monies reached the countervalue of CHF 8.3 billion in 2024.
These strong results were partially driven by favourable market conditions towards the end of the year, particularly in the crypto sector.
