Swiss online banking and trading leader Swissquote (SWX:SQN) has announced the launch of a new investment theme – AI Infrastructure.

Commenting on what sets its AI Infrastructure theme apart, Swissquote said:

It doesn’t matter which software company wins the war – they’ll be reliant on these elements to function.

Swissquote’s theme targets the physicality of AI. Rather than tailgating volatile software start-ups, this theme invests in companies setting up the infrastructure and power projects that make it possible for these start-ups to exist.

This includes securing constant ‘base-load’ power for 24/7 data centres, managing the high-voltage requirements of graphics processing units (GPU) racks, dissipating the extreme heat they generate (air-conditioning doesn’t cut it at these levels, which now exceed 100kW) and facilitating modular buildouts that support the high-speed networking and physical connectors that link thousands of GPUs into a single ‘super-factory’.

This product is a Swiss Uncertificated Security under Swiss law.

The product has no fixed lifetime and will be redeemed after the investor has exercised their termination right or the Issuer has terminated the product.
