Swissquote extends sponsorship of ZSC Lions hockey to 2026
Swiss online trading brokerage leader Swissquote (SWX:SQN) and Zurich based National League hockey club ZSC Lions have announced that Swissquote will be increasing its commitment to the Lions. Starting next season, the Swissquote logo will prominently adorn the backs of Lions players, for another three years through to the 2025-26 season.
The parties said that the goal of the leading Swiss online bank is to further strengthen its local anchoring in the economic region of Zurich and to underpin its claim to leadership. Swissquote began its sponsorship of the ZSC Lions in 2021.
In addition to the logo, Swissquote will continue to promote its brand awareness on online and offline advertising platforms. The sponsorship also includes hospitality tickets for the Business Club, which allows the bank to invite customers and business partners to an exciting ice hockey game in the Swiss Life Arena.
Roger Gemperle, CMO ZSC Lions said:
“The ZSC Lions are proud that Swissquote, the leading Swiss online bank, has expanded its previous commitment with us. The fact that Swissquote has extended the contract by three more years shows that there is great mutual respect in this partnership.”
Jan De Schepper, CSO of Swissquote added:
“We are pleased to continue working with the ZSC Lions, one of the most popular and ambitious ice hockey clubs in Switzerland. Together with the lions we can achieve our goals, namely increasing our brand awareness and anchoring our important location in Zurich. We are convinced of that and we look forward to exciting ice hockey moments with our customers.”
