Saxo Bank Securities to offer USD accounts to Japanese clients
Saxo Bank Securities Co., Ltd., the Japanese subsidiary of multi-asset investment specialist Saxo Bank, announces that it will begin offering USD accounts.
From May 15, 2023 (Monday), Saxo Bank Securities will start offering US dollar accounts that enable settlement of foreign stock transactions in US dollars.
Until now, the company has only offered Japanese Yen accounts for US stock trading. It was necessary to convert Japanese yen to US dollars when buying, and from US dollars to Japanese yen when selling, and exchange costs were incurred for each transaction.
With the launch of the US dollar account, it is now possible for customers to convert Japanese yen into US dollars at any time and purchase US stocks by settlement in US dollars. In addition, since the timing of returning the US dollars obtained from the sale of stocks to Japanese yen is at the customer’s discretion, it is much easier to simulate the profit and loss of investing in US stocks, and it is possible to plan the investment without worrying about exchange rate fluctuations.
Clients of Saxo Bank Securities can trade more than 6,000 U.S. stocks with the industry’s lowest trading fees. In addition, the company offers its clients to build a portfolio that combines US equity options and US equity CFDs in addition to spot trading.
