Public.com partners with civic engagement platform A Starting Point
Public.com today announced a partnership with civic engagement platform A Starting Point to bring expert insights, contextual content, and lawmaker interviews via a new content series centered on fiscal and monetary policy.
A Starting Point was created by actor Chris Evans, director and producer Mark Kassen, and technology entrepreneur Joe Kiani with the aim of creating a bipartisan channel of communication to support a more informed electorate.
The new series in collaboration with Public will offer members access to content and conversations around topics ranging from market structure and investor protection laws to antitrust policy and the role of the Fed.
Public members can expect direct access to policymakers and thought leaders via video interviews, as well as additional formats that include policy news briefs and explainers — all with the aim of providing context into how fiscal and monetary policy are established, and what it means for investors and everyday Americans.
“We’ve long admired what ASP is building and see many parallels to our own mission, which is to make the public markets work for all people,” said Katie Perry, GM of B2B and Editorial at Public. “ASP has taken on an important challenge of demystifying what happens in DC so that people can be more informed and engaged as voters. Similarly, Public began with a focus on financial literacy, and we believe in the importance of providing insights and context alongside the investing experience.”
