OANDA Japan to change margin requirements for NZD/USD and AUD/USD
OANDA Securities, the Japanese subsidiary of online broker OANDA Corporation, announces changes to the margin requirement for trades in two currency pairs for holders of corporate accounts.
The change will affect trades in NZD/USD and AUD/USD. From the start of trading on December 19, 2022, for corporate accounts on the Tokyo server and NY server, the margin rate for these will be changed as follows:
- NZD/USD: 3% (formerly 2%)
- AUD/USD: 3% (formerly 2%)
The broker warns customers who continue to hold positions in the relevant currency pairs after the market closes on December 16, 2022, that a loss cut may occur due to a change in the margin rate.
Please reduce your position in advance or make sure to have enough funds in your account.
Let’s recall that, effective November 7, 2022, the margin rate for USD/SEK (US dollar/ Swedish krona) was changed for corporate accounts on the Tokyo server and NY server. OANDA Japan tightened the margin requirement from a previous level of 2% to a new level of 3%.
