Japanese brokerage Rakuten Securities to support after market US stock trading

Japanese online broker Rakuten Securities will extend trading hours for US stocks.

Effective June 22, 2026, the company will enable its clients to trade US stocks from 5:00 to 9:00 JST after the regular market (22:30 JST to 5:00 JST the following day) has closed.

With the introduction of after-market trading, combined with the “pre-market trading” introduced in January 2026, Rakuten Securities will be offering up to 16 hours of US stock trading per day. This will allow traders to respond to earnings announcements and important news releases.

Furthermore, the brokerage will support the display of charts including after-hours trading and the ability to switch settings for displaying US stock prices (current prices).
