Interactive Brokers adds several Cboe products to offering
Electronic trading major Interactive Brokers continues to expand its lineup of investment instruments. The company has recently added a raft of Cboe products.
The additions include:
- SPX Index Options – Standard (SPX)
- SPX Index Options – SPX Weeklys and End-of-Month (SPXW)
- Mini-SPX Options (XSP)
- Nano S&P 500 Index Options
At 1/10th the size of a standard SPX options contract, XSP options provide a more manageably sized contract and greater flexibility for new index options traders or traders looking to manage their notional exposure with greater precision. Like SPX options, XSP options also offer potentially favorable tax treatment1, European-style exercise (no early exercise) and cash settlement (no delivery or assignment of shares) at expiration.
At a fraction of the size of a standard options contract, Nanos is a first of its kind, one-multiplier, cash-settled listed options contract that will help provide greater access to options trading. Nanos provide investors with a simple and cost-effective way to gain broad exposure to the U.S. equity market and execute hedging, asset allocation and income generation strategies.
Nanos are designed to help traders more easily identify and size trades, providing them with greater precision when hedging or taking a directional position.
