IG Securities, the Japanese subsidiary of electronic trading major IG Group, today announced the resumption of trading in commodity vanilla options.

The brokerage resumed accepting new trades in vanilla options in FX accounts, stock index accounts, and variety (VIX, etc.) accounts from August 18, 2026. From today, individuals can trade commodity vanilla options too.

Trading in vanilla options had been suspended since May 21, 2026 due to a review of the margin calculation method. Now, that the review of the margin calculation method has now been completed, trading resumes.
