eToro shares hit post IPO low as company plans 100+ layoffs. Shares of Israel based online broker eToro Group Ltd (NASDAQ:ETOR) hit a new all-time low on Tuesday, as reports emerged that the company is planning to lay off about 7% of its 1,500 person workforce, or more than 100 employees. Israel news website Calcalist has reported that eToro informed its employee base today about the layoffs, which will be implemented globally, although more than half of the departures will come from the company’s headquarters in Israel.

David Bily launches prop trading firm Moneta Funded. Moneta Markets has become the latest Retail FX and CFDs broker to get into the prop trading space, with founder and CEO David Bily announcing the launch of Moneta Funded (at website monetafunded.com), a broker-backed prop trading firm created to give traders a clear, rules-first pathway to earn performance-based payouts. The move by Moneta comes as a number of online brokers have decided to get into the prop trading arena with their own brands, as prop trading and trader challenges has become a major source of new trader onboarding.
Ripple provides LMAX with $150M financing alongside partnership to accelerate stablecoin adoption. LMAX Group, the leading global cross-asset marketplace for FX and digital assets, and Ripple, a financial technology company that offers crypto solutions for businesses, have announced a new strategic partnership to accelerate the fusion of traditional and digital capital markets. As a part of the collaboration Ripple will provide $150 million in debt financing to support LMAX’s long-term cross-asset growth strategy.
Swissquote expects slight 1% increase in Revenues for H2 2025 to CHF 361.8M. Swiss online banking and trading leader Swissquote (SWX:SQN) released a brief statement regarding its preliminary financial results for 2025, indicating a slight uptick in Revenue during the second half of the year. In the first half of the year Swissquote brought in CHF 358.2 million in Revenue, meaning that the second half of the year’s CHF 361.8 million is 1% above H1 2025. That will still represent a record six-month Revenue result for Swissquote.
Capital.com receives Kenya CMA license, hires Equiti’s Samwel Kiraka. Online brokerage group Capital.com has announced that it has been granted a license by the Capital Markets Authority (CMA) of Kenya, to operate as a Dealing Online Foreign Exchange Broker. To lead its operations in Kenya, Capital.com has appointed Samwel Kiraka as Chief Executive Officer, Kenya.
High Roller Technologies partners with Crypto.com to enter Prediction Markets. High Roller Technologies Inc (NYSE:ROLR), operator of the High Roller and Fruta online casino brands, has announced that it has entered into a binding Letter of Intent with crypto trading platform operator Crypto.com, for an exclusive partnership to launch an event-based prediction markets product in the US.
