FNG Exclusive… FNG has learned that UAE based CFDs broker APM Capital Markets is rebranding as Lunaro, at website lunaro.com.

APM Capital was founded in 2021 as a UAE based CFDs broker by Indian entrepreneur Disha Rajdev, and brought on board former StoneX Europe head Nick Spencer-Skeen as its Senior Executive Officer the following year.

The company, regulated by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA) in the Abu Dhabi Global Market, became known to more people outside the region last year after APM Capital acquired BUX UK, the FCA regulated unit of Amsterdam based neobroker BUX, after BUX was acquired by ABN Amro.

Ahead of the rebranding and the relaunch of services in the UK, Lunaro has been making a number of strategic hires, including adding former Britannia, Capital.com, LMAX, and IG Group executive Michael Going as Sales and Service lead, as was also exclusively reported here at FNG earlier this year.

Regarding the decision to rebrand both the UAE and FCA regulated UK businesses as Lunaro, FNG spoke with the group’s Executive Director Nick Spencer-Skeen who explained,

“After acquiring the UK business we were unable to use APM Capital in UK as the name and .com domain were not available, so we decided to rebrand to coincide with the business launch in the UK under a single name where we owned the domain.

“We tested several different names that were available, but as we were founded in the UAE, it seemed appropriate to have the Luna connection to always remind us of our routes regardless of how we expand globally in the future.”

Formally, the UAE operation has been renamed as Lunaro Markets Limited, and the UK entity as Lunaro Financial Services Limited.

On the new website, a pop-up note now reads,
