Exclusive: ACY Securities names Andrew Taylor head of new Connect prime services
FNG Exclusive… FNG has learned that Australia based Retail FX and CFDs broker ACY Securities has decided to become the latest retail shop to take a leap into the world of institutional prime brokerage, launching a new company called ACY Connect.
The company plans to name Andrew Taylor as Managing Director of ACY Connect. Andrew Taylor joined ACY earlier this year from leading Australian broker IC Markets, where he was General Manager, as was also exclusively reported at the time here at FNG. He has also held senior managerial positions at OneRoyal, Invast Global, GFT Markets, Easy Forex (now easyMarkets), Travelex, Tullett Prebon, and Westpac.
The company plans for ACY Connect to connect brokers and larger traders to core providers of liquidity, as a Prime-of-Prime broker. The Prime-of-Prime segment plays a vital role in accessing interbank liquidity and distributing it to the rest of the market.
Whilst many prime brokers try and reinvent themselves from the old legacy structure, ACY Connect said that it has the technical foresight, financial backing and also development resources to truly create an innovative product beyond just the core prime liquidity solutions.
ACY Connect will connect its clients to:
– T1 bank and non-bank liquidity.
– Optimized transparent execution based on pricing intelligence real time analytics.
– Liquidity streamed in low-latent co-located data centres via API.
– Risk Management Services.
– Portfolio Management Solutions.
– Marketing Tools.
– White Labels.
ACY Securities is an ASIC licensed broker, that traditionally has focused mainly on the Chinese language market. It is run out of Sydney, Australia led by CEO Jimmy Ye.
