eToro to delist NIFTY 50 index from its platform
Online broker eToro will soon remove the $NIFTY50 index from its offering.
To date, eToro has offered a derivative of the $NIFTY50 index that is listed on the Singapore Exchange (SGX). The broker says that the $NIFTY50 index will be delisted from the eToro platform.
While there is no exact ETA for the delisting of the asset from SGX at this time, it will be delisted from the eToro platform on November 30th, 2022 due to the fact that the broker is not receiving pricing for the asset.
Any existing positions will be closed at the last available rate on the date mentioned above.
Last month, eToro set positions in $NIFTY50 to close only as it was not receive pricing from its liquidity providers.
The NIFTY 50 is a benchmark Indian stock market index that represents the weighted average of 50 of the largest Indian companies listed on the National Stock Exchange. It is one of the two main stock indices used in India, the other being the BSE SENSEX.
