Online broker eToro introduces its Private Equity Smart Portfolio, which is now available for investing.

The Private Equity Smart Portfolio is an alternative asset class that aims to acquire or invest in companies not listed on public exchanges. Investors provide the capital for private equity. Experienced teams will use the money in the companies to fund new technology, make acquisitions, expand working capital, and bolster and solidify a balance sheet. The target is to grow the business and sell it at a later date with high profits and deliver high returns to investors.

This Smart Portfolio allocates in stocks, based on eToro’s asset universe, of global Private Equity Managers and Companies that invest in privately-held companies as part of their business model.

The minimum investment amount for this Smart Portfolio is $500.

Designed for long-term investors, this Smart Portfolio provides one-click access to the private equity world, and offers exposure to some of the leading names in the industry including the likes of Blackstone, Apollo Global Management, KKR, and Carlyle.

eToro has been expanding its list of smart portfolios lately. Earlier in July, eToro launched REIT smart portfolio, whereas in June it introduced its Global Logistics Smart Portfolio.
