Italy’s CONSOB orders blocking of access to four unauthorized investment websites
Italy’s Companies and Exchange Commission (CONSOB) has ordered the blocking of access to four unauthorized investment websites.
The websites targeted by the latest CONSOB orders are:
- “EFT24” (website https://eft24.co and related pages https://my.eft24.co and https://tradingapi.chartingio.tech);
- “Nova Trade Core” (website www.novatradecore.com and related page https://platform.novatradecore.com);
- “Argusstockbrokers.com” (website https://argusstockbrokers.com and related page https://client.argusstockbrokers.com);
- “Gf-limited” (website https://gf-limited.com and related page https://user.gf-limited.com).
In issuing the orders, the Authority has exercised the powers granted by the “Growth Decree” (Law No. 58 of June 28, 2019, Article 36, paragraph 2-terdecies), under which Consob can order Internet service providers to block access from Italy to websites offering financial services without proper authorization.
The latest actions bring the total number of websites blocked by Consob to 1,482.
Internet service providers operating in Italy are currently blocking the websites. For technical reasons, the actual blocking may take several days to implement.
