UK financial regulator The FCA has issued a warning about a company calling it variously CMC Capital Limited / CMC Capital Partners / CMC Holdings, all clones of FCA authorised firm CMC Markets.

The regulator pointed out that fraudsters are using the details of firms it authorises to try to convince people that they work for a genuine, authorised firm.

According to the FCA, the clone firm details are as follows, with fraudsters using or giving out the following details as part of their tactics to scam people in the UK:

The regulator said to be aware that scammers may give out other false details or mix these with some correct details of the registered firm. They may change contact details over time to new email addresses, telephone numbers or physical addresses.
