FCA warns of clone of Aquis Exchange
The UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has issued a warning against a clone of Aquis Exchange.
Clones are fraudulent entities that copy the details (name, address, license number, logo, etc) of firms the FCA authorises to try and convince people that their firm is genuine.
Clone firm details
Fraudsters are using the following details to scam people:
Name: aquis-exchange.com (Clone of FCA Authorised firm)
Email: service@aquis-exchange.com
Website: www.aquis-exchange.com
FCA authorised firm details
This is the genuine, authorised firm that the fraudsters are claiming to work for. It has no connection with the clone firm.
The correct details are:
Firm Name: Aquis Exchange PLC
Firm Reference Number: 595785
Address: Floor 2
63 Queen Victoria Street
London, EC4N 4UA, UNITED KINGDOM
Telephone: +4402035976330
Email: compliance@aquis.eu
Website: www.aquis.eu
If you deal with the clone firm, you won’t have access to the Financial Ombudsman Service if you have a complaint.
You also won’t be protected by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) if things go wrong. This means it’s unlikely you’d get your money back if the firm goes out of business.
