FCA confirms Blankstone Sington Limited (BSL) is in special administration
The UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) confirms that Blankstone Sington Limited entered special administration following a Court Order.
Andrew Poxon, Alex Cadwallader and Hilary Pascoe of Leonard Curtis were appointed joint special administrators.
BSL is an FCA-authorised wealth management firm and a member of the London Stock Exchange. The firm’s directors resolved to place the company into special administration and applied to Court for an order to that effect.
On 16 November 2021, the FCA took temporary action to prevent BSL from disposing or diminishing the value of its own assets, accepting new client money or new custody assets from existing clients and from opening new client accounts, without the FCA’s written consent.
If you have any questions about the process and what happens next, you can contact the joint special administrators at Leonard Curtis with any concerns:

The Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) will not be open to customer claims at this time, but they are investigating whether there are any claims that are eligible for compensation and how any claims might best be dealt with. As part of the investigation, they will be working closely with the joint special administrators and the FCA.
