CySEC reaches €100k settlement with First Prudential Markets
The Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC) today announced a €100,000 settlement with Cyprus investment firm (CIF) First Prudential Markets Ltd.
The settlement concerns the possible violation of article 42 of the Regulation (EU) No 600/2014, particularly of paragraph 5 of the CySEC’s Directive DI87-09.
More specifically, the investigation for which the settlement was reached involved assessing the company’s compliance, during the period March 2022 – August 2025, with the provisions concerning restrictions on the Contracts for Differences (CFDs).
The company has paid the amount of €100,000.
It is noted that all amounts payable from settlement agreements are considered revenue (income) of the Treasury of the Republic and do not constitute income of CySEC.
