TradingView expands data coverage for Johannesburg Stock Exchange
TradingView has expanded data coverage for the Johannesburg Stock Exchange, providing access to new indices.
Founded over 100 years ago, the Johannesburg Stock Exchange is now the largest stock exchange in Africa by market capitalization, listing hundreds of companies. It represents more than half of the region’s equity market value. The exchange ensures transparency and proper disclosure of information, requiring companies listed to share news on financial results, mergers, and other key corporate events on the Stock Exchange News Service (Sens), thus helping investors make informed decisions.
Previously, TradingView users had access to some data from the exchange on the platform. With this latest integration, the volume increased significantly, providing you with 98 new indices.
Among the newly-integrated data, traders will find such indices as the All Share Index, reflecting 99% of the total market capitalization value of all eligible securities listed on the JSE’s Main Board, and the Financial 15 Index, tracking the performance of the 15 largest listed companies. They can help TradingView users better navigate the regional market, assess the investor sentiment, or choose the company to invest in.
Real-time data for the integrated symbols is available with an active market data subscription, but all users can access delayed quotes on their charts.
To view all the data from the exchange, open the symbol search and enter JSE: prefix.
TradingView connects to hundreds of data feeds, giving direct access to more than two million instruments worldwide.
