Nadex confirms temporary outage affecting trading platform
North American Derivatives Exchange (Nadex), a part of IG Group (LON:IGG), has confirmed a temporary outage that has affected the operations of its trading platform on Friday. The tech issue was resolved approximately 30 minutes after its detection.
Pursuant to Section 5c(c)(1) of the Commodity Exchange Act and section §40.6(a) of the regulations promulgated by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) under the Act, Nadex submitted an emergency action to the Commission on October 16, 2020 providing notice of the tech issue.
On trade date Friday, October 16, 2020, the Nadex trading platform was impacted when shortly after the 6:00pm ET open the Exchange experienced a technical issue that caused a temporary trading outage. The issue was corrected and service was restored at approximately 6:35pm ET.
Last month, Nadex also experienced tech issues. Nadex has submitted notice to the CFTC that on trade date September 29, 2020 at 5:21AM ET, the Nadex trading platform experienced a technical issue which led to an outage affecting the trading platform. The issue was corrected and the platform was restored 9:57am ET.
