Forex company Travelex has announced a series of leading contract extensions across key UK travel hubs, including Liverpool John Lennon Airport, Edinburgh Airport, DFDS Seaway, Dover Port and London’s Oxford Street Selfridges.

The renewal at John Lennon Airport comes as it celebrates its busiest ever year of operations, having served a record-breaking 5.6 million passengers in 2025.

Travelex currently operates two stores and 12 ATMs across the airport, where customers can walk up and purchase all major currencies, as well as collect pre-ordered travel money on the day of their trip, or buy and top up a pre-paid Travelex Travel Money Card.

At Edinburgh Airport, Travelex has extended its contract until 2030, having first launched services in 2021. Travelex currently operates five stores and a mobile on-the-move kiosk alongside twelve ATMs at the airport, both airside and landside across arrivals and departures.

In addition to Liverpool John Lennon and Edinburgh airports, Travelex has extended its partnership with DFDS Seaways, where it will operate euro and pound sterling ATMs on six DFDS Seaways vessels sailing between Dover and Calais or Dunkirk. Travelex has also extended its contract with Dover Port, where it operates a single store at the Eastern Docks Passenger Services Building.

Travelex has also continued its partnership with London’s Oxford Street Selfridges, which attracts more than 20 million visitors annually. The Selfridges’ partnership is one of several relationships Travelex has with high-street retail destinations across the UK. Recent years have seen the demand for pre-trip foreign exchange grow significantly, with 92% of people in the UK now purchasing travel money before their journey, according to the Travelex Travel Money Report.
