The New York Department of Financial Services (DFS) today posted a notice regarding Davids Check Cashing.

The company has temporarily stopped operations at some of its branches, as it explores acquisition opportunities of its locations.

Davids Check Cashing, a provider of check cashing and money transmission services, has temporarily ceased operations at 12 of its 24 branches as it explores acquisition opportunities of its locations, effective Monday, July 20, 2026. 12 of its locations remain open this week”.
