HK regulator grants restricted banking licence to Bakai Bank

The Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) has granted a restricted banking licence to BAKAI BANK Open Joint Stock Company under the Banking Ordinance.

Bakai Bank is incorporated in the Kyrgyz Republic. The granting of this restricted banking licence took effect on October 5, 2026.

After the grant of a restricted banking licence to Bakai Bank, the number of restricted licence banks in Hong Kong is 17.
