Taiwan Stock Exchange, Bloomberg enter strategic partnership
Taiwan Stock Exchange Corporation (TWSE) and Bloomberg today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in Taipei during Taiwan Weeks 2026, establishing a strategic collaboration that will help bring Taiwan’s capital markets and listed companies closer to investors around the world.
Under the MOU, TWSE and Bloomberg will work together on a series of initiatives and programs focused on four areas:
- Global visibility: Broadening international understanding of Taiwan’s capital markets through digital promotion, investor engagement and knowledge sharing. As part of this effort, Bloomberg has added the TAIEX, TWSE’s benchmark index tracking the performance of stocks listed on the exchange, to the market indices section of bloomberg.com.
- Capital market acceleration: Jointly launching the Bloomberg x TWSE Power Up Program for TWSE-listed companies, with an initial focus on mid-caps. Participating companies may subscribe for the Bloomberg Terminal, giving their corporate and investor relations teams access to market data, analytics and insights, as well as tools to identify and engage relevant investors. The program will also offer capability-building workshops and seminars, and Bloomberg Intelligence will explore research coverage of participating companies, subject to its independent research judgment, coverage criteria and internal policies.
- Index and product innovation: Deepening the existing co-branded index collaboration between Bloomberg Index Services Limited and Taiwan Index Plus Corporation (TIP), a wholly-owned subsidiary of TWSE, and exploring new co-branded indices to meet market demand. Since 2025, the collaboration has launched three co-branded indices spanning multi-asset and thematic equity strategies. One of these serves as the benchmark for a multi-asset ETF listed on TWSE, which has grown to approximately TWD 235.1 million in assets under management as of October 31, 2026, and further ETFs tracking the co-branded indices are in development.
- Asset management market development: Working towards establishing an educational financial lab that gives students and young talent hands-on exposure to financial markets, analytics and real-world investment workflows.
“Taiwan plays a pivotal role in the global AI technology supply chain. Sustaining the growth of our high-tech industries requires a robust capital market to support them.” said Sherman Lin, Chairman of Taiwan Stock Exchange Corporation. “Our partnership with Bloomberg will turn Taiwan’s industrial strengths into capital market competitiveness and advance our vision of becoming an Asian Asset Management Center. Together, we will harness data and technology to help mid- and small-cap companies strengthen their investor relations and engage global investors more effectively – a key priority for the long-term development of our markets.”
“Global investors are increasingly recognizing the significant growth potential of Taiwan’s capital markets,” said Bing Li, Asia-Pacific Chairman of Bloomberg. “This strategic collaboration with TWSE reflects Bloomberg’s long-term commitment to Taiwan markets and to connecting Taiwan’s companies with global investors. The pioneering financial lab demonstrates our shared, forward-looking approach: investing not only in today’s markets, but in the talent that will shape them tomorrow.”
