SinoPac Securities adopts Bloomberg’s Sell-Side execution management solution ETOMS
Bloomberg today announced that SinoPac Securities, a full-service securities firm in Taiwan, has adopted Bloomberg’s Sell-Side execution management solution ETOMS in connection with its use of Trade Order Management Solutions (TOMS) to support its USD corporate bond market-making business.
By using Bloomberg’s Sell-Side solutions, including TOMS and ETOMS, SinoPac can automate pricing, quoting and execution workflows for its USD corporate bond business. The solutions enable the firm to distribute electronic quotes and respond to client trading requests in real time, enhancing efficiency across its market-making operations.
SinoPac has used Bloomberg’s TOMS and Multi-Asset Risk System (MARS) solutions since 2021 for trade ticketing, P&L monitoring and risk management across its USD corporate bond and derivatives business. The adoption of Bloomberg’s Sell-Side Solutions extends the firm’s electronic market-making capabilities to Taiwan, where SinoPac has become the first Taiwan-based securities firm to serve as a bond market maker through Bloomberg’s ALLQ function.
“Providing timely liquidity and efficient execution remains a key priority for us,” said Leon Huang, Senior Executive Vice President and Head of Fixed Income Division at SinoPac. “As fixed income trading becomes increasingly electronic, we continue to invest in technology that helps streamline our workflows and strengthen client connectivity. Bloomberg’s solutions support our efforts to better serve clients in Taiwan while positioning us to capture growing cross-border opportunities.”
“SinoPac Securities’ adoption of Bloomberg’s Sell-Side solutions reflects the continued electronification of Asia’s fixed income markets,” said James Bell, APAC Head of Sell-Side Technology Sales at Bloomberg. “We value our collaboration with SinoPac as it expands these capabilities in Taiwan and builds stronger connectivity with global market participants.”
Bloomberg’s Sell-Side Solutions provide firms the ability to efficiently manage inventory, risk, P&L, compliance, and straight-through processing across various asset classes. The suite of solutions also includes market connectivity and trading tools to support a firm’s electronic trading workflows and help firms synchronize their front office risk and trading with middle-office, operations, and enterprise applications in real-time.
