Securities issued in Clearstream’s D7 DLT platform now accepted as Eurosystem collateral
Securities issued in Clearstream’s tokenized issuance platform D7 DLT are now eligible for use as collateral in the Eurosystem Collateral Management System (ECMS).
This unlocks unprecedented liquidity, officially bridging the gap between digital securities and the core of European central bank money operations.
Market participants can now integrate digital assets into their collateral strategy through Clearstream’s digital securities infrastructure. The European Central Bank’s decision to accept DLT-native securities issued via Clearstream as collateral in Eurosystem credit operations marks a key milestone in the digital transformation of capital markets unlocking enhanced liquidity and collateral mobility.
As the only triparty agent currently connected to ECMS, Clearstream offers market participants a streamlined route to mobilize eligible assets for Eurosystem collateral operations, reinforcing its role as a key infrastructure bridge between digital issuance and central bank liquidity.
