SBI Holdings, Inc. today announced that it has entered into a strategic partnership with FPT Corporation and Sumitomo Corporation to accelerate the development of AI technology.

Under this alliance, the companies will jointly invest in FPT Smart Cloud Japan Co., Ltd which provides AI solution services, including GPU Cloud resources that are essential for AI applications.

After this investment, FPT Corporation’s wholly owned subsidiary, FPT Japan Holdings Co., Ltd., will hold 60% of the ownership, and SBI Holdings and Sumitomo Corporation will each hold 20% of the ownership in FPT Smart Cloud Japan.

FPT Corporation is a global leading technology and IT services provider headquartered in Vietnam. As an NVIDIA partner, FPT Corporation is able to secure a stable supply of GPUs. In November 2024, FPT Corporation announced the launch of FPT AI Factory, a comprehensive suite for end-to-end AI development lifecycle, and established FPT Smart Cloud Japan to create an ecosystem of products and solutions based on AI and cloud technologies.

Through this alliance, SBI Holdings will work with FPT and Sumitomo Corporation to develop new AI solutions and expand our AI service business. The three companies will also accelerate their research capabilities and utilization of AI applications and generative AI for corporate customers, contributing to improvements in productivity and customer experience across industries.
