Clearstream, Luxembourg Rugby Federation launch three-year partnership
Clearstream, Deutsche Börse Group’s post-trade business, and the Luxembourg Rugby Federation have launched a three-year partnership, making Clearstream the headline sponsor of all Luxembourg national rugby teams from 2026 to 2029.
The partnership will support Luxembourg Rugby’s work to develop the game for future generations, from grassroots participation to the men’s and women’s national teams.
Under the agreement, Clearstream’s branding will appear on the front of the jersey of all Luxembourg national teams (Men’s XV, Men’s 7s, Women’s 7s, and Youth squads) as well as at home international matches and across federation communications, making this the most prominent sponsorship position available in Luxembourg rugby.
Luxembourg Rugby has played a central role in shaping rugby in the Grand Duchy for more than five decades, building a vibrant and internationally diverse rugby community. Today, it oversees the national teams, supports clubs, and helps broaden participation across the country. Luxembourg’s national sides compete across the Rugby Europe Men’s Conference, with the LuxLeague providing a thriving domestic competition at club level. The partnership marks a new chapter for the sport in Luxembourg and signals Clearstream’s confidence in the federation’s growing ambition, recently demonstrated by the landmark All Blacks Clinic hosted in Luxembourg in August 2026.
Clearstream has a track record of supporting initiatives that contribute to the cultural, social and sporting life of its home country, from its partnership with Mudam, the Musée d’Art Moderne Grand-Duc Jean, to its support of the Luxembourg Philharmonic Orchestra Academy.
Neil Wise, Member of the Executive Board, Clearstream Fund Centre Luxembourg commented:
“Luxembourg is home to one of the world’s leading financial centers, and Clearstream is proud to be at the heart of that ecosystem. This partnership with the Luxembourg Rugby Federation reflects our long-term commitment to this country – not just as a business, but as a member of its community. Rugby’s values of teamwork, discipline and respect are ones we recognize in our own culture every day, and we look forward to supporting the growth of the sport at every level, from the national sides to the next generation of players coming through.”
Jean-François Boulot, President, Luxembourg Rugby, added:
“We are delighted to welcome Clearstream as our headline partner, and proud that a company of this standing has chosen to place its name on the jersey of every Luxembourg national team. This partnership gives the federation a stable and prestigious platform from which to grow the game – in schools, in clubs, and on the international stage. With 54 nationalities represented in our membership, Luxembourg rugby has always reflected what makes this country exceptional, and we look forward to sharing that story together.”
