TP ICAP’s Energy and Commodities division announces appointment of three new regional CEOs
TP ICAP’s Energy and Commodities division today announced the appointment of three new regional CEOs, covering APAC, EMEA and the Americas.
Reporting to Andrew Polydor, the division’s global CEO, the appointments are:
- David Silbert, CEO, Americas
- Joachim Emanuelsson, CEO EMEA
- Tom Fox Hughes, CEO APAC
David Silbert was the Founder and served as Senior Partner & Chief Executive Officer at Trailstone Group, the global commodities trading firm. Prior to that he served as Managing Director and Head of Deutsche Bank Global Commodities between 2007 and 2013. Before joining Deutsche Bank, Mr Silbert was Managing Director and Head of EMEA Commodities at Merrill Lynch, which he joined following its acquisition of Entergy-Koch Trading, where he served as CEO of its European division.
Joachim Emanuelsson joins TP ICAP from SCB Group, which he co founded and over 16 years built into one of the leading low-carbon commodity broking and advisory firms. Mr Emanuelsson started his commodity trading career at Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi and Credit Suisse.
Tom Fox Hughes has been promoted to his new role CEO APAC following almost three years as Commercial Manager for the region, based in Singapore. Mr Hughes joined TP ICAP from Freight Investor Services where he was Managing Director, responsible for the Asian arm of the international commodity derivatives brokerage.
