FNG Exclusive… FNG has learned that longtime MultiBank Group marketing head Sophia Barnes is leaving the company, to join financial information services giant Bloomberg LP. At Bloomberg she will continue to be based in Hong Kong, and will become the company’s new APAC Marketing Manager.

Ms. Barnes had been with FX and CFD broker MultiBank since 2012, joining as a senior project manager in Beijing and rising through the ranks to become the firm’s Hong Kong based Director of Public Relations and Marketing Manager, a title she has held since 2016.

Before joining MultiBank she worked as an intern at Merrill Lynch in Seattle.

MultiBank Group has grown to become one of the world’s largest Retail FX and CFD brokerage groups. The company has licensed subsidiaries and operations in Australia, Germany, Austria, Spain, the British Virgin Islands, the Cayman Islands, and most recently received a Dubai DFSA license. Globally MultiBank does about $150-160 billion of monthly trading volumes.
