Metro Bank announced today that Catherine Doran has been appointed as its Designated Non-Executive Director for Colleague Engagement.

The appointment is effective 3 November 2026.

Catherine Doran has served as an independent Non-Executive Director since 1 January 2026 and is currently a member of the Nomination, Risk Oversight, People and Remuneration, and Board Transformation Oversight committees. Her appointment is set to support effective colleague engagement at Board level.

Catherine Doran is a seasoned IT professional with 20 years’ experience at CIO level, leading IT and business transformations in major financial services businesses and across other industry sectors. She is a highly accomplished board executive, recognised for her expertise in technology, operational delivery, risk management, and transformational change across both the public and private sectors.

She has held board and executive positions in major organisations such as Coventry Building Society, BT, Network Rail and Royal Mail Group, as well as having been a Non-Executive Director of DEFRA.

Catherine Doran is currently the Senior Independent Director at ClearBank, where she has served since April 2020 and is Chair of ClearBank’s Board Risk Committee.
