Marex appoints Alex Salomon as first Prime Services team member in Israel
Institutional broker Marex Group PLC (NASDAQ:MRX) has announced that it has hired Alex Salomon to the position of Prime Services Sales, marking the first on-the-ground presence for its Prime Services team in Israel.
Based in Marex’s Tel Aviv office, Alex will focus on supporting hedge funds, family offices, asset managers and institutional clients across the Israeli market, providing access to Marex’s global prime brokerage and outsourced trading platform. His role reflects the breadth of the local market, working across strategies, asset classes and client types.
Alex Salomon brings more than 25 years of experience across institutional trading, credit and investment markets. Earlier in his career, he held senior trading and credit roles at major international banks including Barclays Capital, Citi and Merrill Lynch, working across global markets.
More recently, Alex has held senior investment roles at Hanavah Macro and Exigent Capital. He was a founding partner at Alon Credit and serves in an advisory capacity at Logiq Capital and as Chairman of the Board at Strawberry Fields BVI REIT.
Alex is well connected across the Israeli financial community, with a practical, execution-focused approach to working with clients.
At Marex, Alex will work closely with colleagues across the firm’s global prime services platform to support clients locally while connecting them to international markets, liquidity and infrastructure. The company said that this appointment reflects Marex’s continued investment in expanding its Prime Services footprint, combining local coverage with global capability.
