John Stier to step down as Equiniti CFO
Equiniti Group PLC (LON:EQN), an international technology-led services and payments specialist, today announced that, after six years as Chief Financial Officer, John Stier has advised the Directors of his intention to step down and retire from the company.
The Board will undertake a recruitment process to identify his successor. Mr Stier will remain in his role until the process is completed and a smooth handover implemented.
“We are very grateful to John for all his hard work and commitment to the Company, including during the IPO in 2015. We anticipate a smooth transition between John and his successor and will provide a further update on this process in due course”, the company said.
John Stier joined the Group in June 2015 as Chief Financial Officer. He is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants with a background in corporate finance.
He was previously the Chief Financial Officer of Northgate Information Solutions Ltd (NIS) for over ten years. NIS was a FTSE 250 organisation until 2007, when the business was acquired by KKR, the US private equity firm. Prior to this, he was the Chief Financial Officer of Subterra Ltd, a subsidiary of Thames Water Plc which delivered engineering services to businesses across Europe.
Mr Stier is a non-executive Director and Audit Chair at Redburn (Europe) Limited.
