GlobalData Plc (LON:DATA), a provider of data, analytics and insights, today unveiled Board changes.

The company announces the appointment of Catherine Birkett to the Board as an independent Non-Executive Director. She will join GlobalData on March 8, 2021.

Ms Birkett is currently the Chief Financial Officer of GoCardless Limited, a high growth fintech business. She has had a distinguished career in senior finance roles, including 14 years as Chief Financial Officer at Interoute Telecommunications, during which time the company grew from a small start-up to one of Europe’s fastest growing telecoms providers, with revenues in excess of €700m.

Catherine Birkett will succeed Murray Legg as Chair of the Audit Committee following the AGM.
