Exclusive: Simon Bird resigns from Board of Trive UK (ex GKFX / GKPro)
FNG Exclusive… FNG has learned that Simon Bird has resigned from the board of directors of Trive Financial Services UK Limited, the London based FCA-regulated arm of Amsterdam domiciled Trive Financial.
Trive UK was originally called GKFX Financial Services Ltd when Mr. Bird joined the board as a Non Executive Director in 2019, and the company operated the Retail FX and CFDs brand GKFX and later institutional services firm GKPro. We exclusively reported late last year that GKFX (and GKPro) parent company Global Kapital Group restructured, which included the transfer of GKFX and GKPro to Trive Financial – another company in which Global Kapital controlling shareholder Kasim Garipoglu has an interest. GKFX has since been rebranded to Trive (and GKPRo to TrivePro).
Simon Bird was a longtime COO of City Index (2008-2014). He later served as Non Executive Chairman of IKON Finance (2017-2019), and now also acts as Non Executive Chairman at Monecor (London) Limited, which operates OvalX (formerly ETX Capital).
